Abstract

Luminescent mononuclear aluminium(III) complexes that can control molecular arrangements and dielectric properties by exposure to solvent vapor in the solid state have been reported. In this image, the left side represents the nonpolar structure under MeOH vapor, and the right side represents the polar structure under DMSO vapor. The second harmonic generation (SHG) behavior attributed to the structural transformation to the polar structure is depicted as red and green lights.
