Abstract
The Cover Feature represents a gallery of different nanomorphologies. These shape formations can be explained by a recently proposed symmetry based kinematic theory. The theory utilizes the preferential growth directions and the properties of the kinematic waves, which are the results of the surface nucleation and layer advancement processes, to understand the facet and shape evolutions.
