Abstract
Heterogeneous catalysis is a promising way to developing benign processes in asymmetric aldol reaction, in which the catalytic performance can be precisely modulated by bipyridine-proline loaded catalyst. Herein, the bimodal mesoporous silicas could provide controlled pore channels and suitable modified surfaces for reactants and organic catalysts. Therefore, their reactivity and selectivity, as well as recyclability potential could be improved. Besides, the fractal features of the heterogeneous catalysts were elucidated in-depth by SAXS method. More information can be found in the Full Paper by Jihong Sun et al.
