Abstract

TTBrM radical, a trityl radical derivative, is the first magnetically active organic emitter combining a satisfactory CPL activity with a high stability against racemization, thanks to the steric hindrance of its bulky Br atoms. Moreover, it represents a real milestone in the field of multifunctional materials since its innovative substitution pattern also provides easy strategies for the achievement of improved organic free radicals with chiral, magnetic, and luminescent properties.
