Abstract
Quantum theories of massive fields with arbitrary fixed spins are formulated in terms of manifestly covariant operators. Unphysical modes are confined in zero-norm states by virtue of the subsidiary conditions Q BRST |phys> = 0 with BRST charges. This restriction is analogous to that in quantum gauge field theories. Smooth massless limits of the massive field theories are briefly studied.
