Abstract

Diruthenium alkynyl compounds containing one or two 1,2,3-triazoles were prepared via the Cu(I)-catalyzed 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reaction (click reaction). Electrochemical, magnetic, and molecular structural features of the click products indicate that peripheral modification with the 1,2,3-triazole substituent induces minimal changes in both the molecular structure and electronic properties of Ru2 alkynyl compounds.
