Cost: £70 Highlighted as one of the most difficult areas for healthcare professionals, advance care planning is the process of discussing and planning ahead in anticipation of some deterioration in a person’s condition. A key element of supporting people at the end of life is to find out their preferences and wishes in relation to where and how they would like to be looked after. This course will aim to teach the value of good communication skills in the context of difficult and often distressing circumstances and give delegates an opportunity to see and practise the skills required. 1–3 October and 5–7 November 2012.
