Abstract

A (16O-α)+(16O*-α) model is proposed on the basis of the 16O*(1p-1h)-α structure of the Kπ = 2- band (Ex = 4.97MeV) in 20Ne. The couplings between the 16O-core (1p-1h) excitations and α-clustering are solved by adopting the coupled channel orthogonality condition model. Energy spectra, α-reduced width amplitudes, E2- and E3-transition probabilities are well reproduced, and the effects of the couplings between 16O-core excitations and α-clustering are discussed.
