Abstract

For the cooling process of SPHC hot-rolled low carbon steel, a coupled prediction model of temperature and phase change was established by using finite element method. Considering the influence of latent heat of phase change on the two-dimensional temperature field of strip after rolling, the model of temperature and phase change is coupled solving by Avrami equation and the additive law of Scheil. The results show that the temperature distribution is not uniform along the width direction after the laminar cooling of hot-rolled low carbon steels, the calculated results of the model are well combined with the measured values, and can accurately predict the temperature distribution and room temperature structure of hot-rolled low carbon steel after cooling.
