Abstract

In the paper, the features of coupled Goubau lines are studied. The characteristic impedance and propagation constant of single and coupled Goubau lines are simulated by computer software using the finite element method. Both even and odd mode impedances are given in detail for different line dimensions. Improvement of the frequency characteristics of a single Goubau line and the even mode of the coupled line is suggested. Application of coupled Goubau lines for millimeter-wave coupler design is discussed.
