Coupled excitations in the compressible easy-plane Heisenberg chain

Abstract

The authors investigate the solitonic excitations in the easy-plane compressible ferromagnetic Heisenberg chain using a coherent states formalism. It is shown that the existence of out-of-easy-plane excursions is compulsory for the excitations of the elastic models. The shapes of the solitons are shown to be strongly dependent on the values of the parameters of the models.
