Abstract
Different cross sections for the elastic scattering of electronsby N2 at impact energies of 10, 15, 20, 30, 40 eV havebeen calculated and compared with the experimental data and othertheoretical results. The present results are obtained by the momentumspace coupled channels optical method. In this method, the e–moleculesystem has a single centre and the interaction of e–nuclei isexpanded by a multipole expansion.
