Abstract

AbstractIn this work a numerical technique for an accurate modelling of the coupling among neighbouring bodies of revolution (BORs) is proposed. This problem is of high interest in modern applications, where clusters of feeds are being used more frequently in antenna systems to increase performances. The scattering problem, both for a stand‐alone body of revolution (BoR) and for coupled BoRs, has been solved using the combined field integral equation (CFIE) approach and the method of moments (MoM), with an efficient set of expansion functions whose validity is limited to BoR. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
