Abstract
South Carolina's coastal counties are experiencing tremendous changes in population and economic development as a result of growth in the tourist, recreation, and resort sectors. However, little is known about the overall impact of the tourism industry in detail at the county level. This study presents the results of the application of an economic impact model designed to provide insight into the benefits of various mixes of tourism products at a local level with special reference to Beaufort County, South Carolina.
