Abstract

This article gives an overview of counterfeit brands in India. The article gives a reader an overall view of counterfeit brands in India with the amount of damage done to each sector. The thrust area of this article is on specific industries like FMCG, Consumer Durable, Pharmaceutical and Rural sector. Finally the articles ends with the steps that are taken by government to overcome this problem along with suggestion on how awareness can be spread among customer so that they are not victimized.
