Abstract

Abstract Every human infant is a natural being that physiologically and psychologically contains 53 natural senses. Societies that responsibly sustain the inherent connections of natural senses with the natural world sustain balanced people, communities and ecosystems. When societies excessively disconnect natural senses from the natural world, injured senses, people and ecosystems result. Counselling with nature (CWN) activities, in backyards or backcounty, enable counsellors to incoporate direct sensory contact with the natural world in their relationships with their clients. This benefits the counselling process and catalyzes a healthier person, society and environment.
