Abstract
In this work, the total reaction cross section considering with (without) nuclear medium effect within the Coulomb Modified Glauber Model (CMGM) is calculated. The projectiles \(^{56} \text {Fe}_{26}\), \(^{84} \text {Kr}_{36}\), \(^{132} \text {Xe}_{54}\), \(^{197} \text {Au}_{79}\) and \(^{238} \text {U}_{92}\) interacts with nuclear emulsion having kinetic energy (KE) \(\sim \text {1 GeV/n}\). The total reaction cross section is compared with the corresponding experimental value.
