Abstract

It is conjectured that Coulomb interference can be appreciable in small- angle p-p scattering, up to quite high energies. It is noted that this interference can be used to test the Regge pole hypothesis and other theories, in particular as they apply to: the real part of the nuclear spin-independent amplitude; the sign of this real part; and spin-dependent terms, (T.F.H.)
