Abstract

Abstract The assumption that next to leading twist contributions to J/ψ production are non-negligible in hadron-nucleus and nucleus-nucleus collisions leads to a natural pattern of J/ψ suppression in relativistic heavy-ion collisions. Data are shown to be qualitatively explained by this model. Tests of the validity of such a picture are proposed.
