Abstract

Large volumes of data are being collected by Sandia National Laboratories as part of an active commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) part testing and surveillance program. This user manual documents Python-based COTS Data Analytics software that has been developed for standardizing, displaying, visualizing, and analyzing the resulting COTS part testing and surveillance data. It is the objective of these software tools to streamline the analysis of COTS testing and surveillance data and improve the efficiency with which test engineers and data analytics experts can pinpoint possible performance and reliability problems in COTS parts. This user manual is divided into the following sections: ? Section 2 describes the challenges involved in maintaining and storing COTS part testing data, and presents the Unified Block-Chain (UBC) data file structure developed to convert test data files into a standardized format. ? Section 3 provides an installation guide for the COTS Data Analytics software. ? Section 4 documents the software tools that have been developed for converting COTS test data files into the standardized UBC data file format, and provides two specific file conversion examples. ? Section 5 documents the four primary software tools developed for displaying, visualizing, and analyzing standardized UBC data files, providing specific examples for each tool. ? Section 6 concludes with a discussion of planned improvements to the COTS Data Analytics software, including expanded data visualization and statistical analysis capabilities. Plans to consolidate COTS part testing data into a database to improve data analytics and visualization capabilities are also discussed.
