Abstract
The top value litchi fruit and their byproducts are received high marketableworth. Litchi fruit is commercially cultivated for nutritional benefits and food consumption in numerous countries in global level. The origin of litchi fruit from south china and has been cultivated since 3000 years ago. The litchi fruit received much attention due to their biological activities not only the fruit also seed, pulp, skin enclosed several valuable substances that used for cosmaceuetical, cancer prevention, antimicrobial, etc. Litchi pulp has good aromatic compound and used as fragrance. It considered as a store house of multinutrients and minerals. Litchi has been used in cosmetic industries (Sun screen lotion, shampoo, moisturing creams). The parts of pericarp from litchi fruit easily obtained from agricultural waste. The pericarp portion has strong antioxidant activity and used for remarkable cosmetic products. Litchi seed has been used for ointment and it prevent various skin diseases. It has numberous phyto-components, biochemical elements that are responsible for various health benefits. The functional properties of natural tyrosinase inhibitors and mechanism of tyrosinase inhibition was analyzed. The interesting strategy for reusing fruit by products containing BAC (Bioactive compounds) can be used for the improvement of cosmeceuticals by the action of therapeutic features that ensure the skin care applications. Therefore, the review focuses on realistic application of litchi in cosmetics industries and their potential activities.
