Abstract

It is demonstrated that wavelet Tsallis q-entropies of 1/fα signals behave in accordance with a sum-cosh window. Closed-form expressions for such windowing functions, defined in the α domain, are obtained and potential applications in the analysis of power-law processes discussed. An example application using pure power-law models validates its utility.
