Abstract

Abstract Corrosion of aircraft aluminum alloy structures has been caused by condensed water in the fuel tank compartments. Investigation and simulation tests have revealed that hydrogen chloride, which is released from the rubber fuel tank and dissolved in condensed water, is the corrosive factor. Preventive measures are recommended.
