Abstract

Through the utilization of high-alloy stainless steel for the high-pressure piping failures due to corrosion will be prevented. Furthermore, piping with reduced wall thickness compared to stainless steel 316L can be used which facilitates handling, welding and pipe-work assembly. In addition, the smaller wall thickness will allow that outlets for branch connections can be engineered for optimum corrosion resistance and cost effectiveness.
