Abstract

The effect of coolant parameters (temperature, content of oxygen and chlorine ions, acidity parameter pH) and of residual stresses on the susceptibility of welded joints of pipelines from steel 08Kh18N10T at power units with RBMK-type reactors to intercrystalline corrosion cracking is studied. It is shown that the endurance of the pipelines depends on the heat treatment of welded joints and on the deaerated rise of the reactor to the operating conditions.
