Abstract

The chronoamperometry method was used to study corrosion of the aluminum alloy AD31 in the presence of potassium permanganate in chloride-containing acidic media. A rotating disk electrode was used to establish the kinetic features, and the mechanisms of cathodic oxygen reduction on AD31 in permanganate-containing acidic solutions were proposed.
