Journal of Ecology, 105, 1010–1020. https://doi.org/10.1111/1365-2745.12728 The authors have discovered two errors in the Materials and Methods section of Aussenac et al. (2017). The first error is a wrong Latin name and the second is a wrong character in Equation 1. These errors do not affect any of the results or conclusions. The authors apologize for any inconvenience caused by these errors. The following corrections are made to the article: p. 3, left column, the sentence beginning on line 31 should read: “We considered seven species: eastern white cedar (Thuja occidentalis L.), white spruce (Picea glauca (Moench) Voss), trembling aspen (Populus tremuloides Michx.), balsam fir (Abies balsamea L.), yellow birch (Betula alleghaniensis Britton), red maple (Acer rubrum L.) and sugar maple (Acer saccharum Marshall).” p. 5, left column, the equation 1 beginning on line 1 should read: Reference Aussenac, R., Bergeron, Y., Ghotsa Mekontchou, C., Gravel, D., Pilch, K. & Drobyshev, I.
