(2007) Incidence of the JAK2 V617F mutation among patients with splanchnic or cerebral venous thrombosis and without overt chronic myeloproliferative disorders. Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis,5, 708–714. This reference should replace the two citations of Landolfi et al, 2007 on page 316 and the citation of same in Table III (fifth study). In Table III, the comment ‘no follow-up reported’ is incorrect. It should read ‘follow-up (median 4 years) of over half the JAK2 V617F positive cases lacking overt MPD revealed 1 case of overt ET, 2 mild thrombocytosis, 1 death’. The authors extend their sincere apologies to Prof. Valerio De Stafano and co-workers for this error. Reference Austin, S.K. & Lambert, J.R. (2008) The JAK2V617F mutation and thrombosis.
