Learn more.Copy URL In Genberg et al. (2018), an error was found in the formula used for predicting peak VO2 in women according to SHIP study. The correct formula is now presented in Appendix 1, where the beta coefficient for weight was corrected from 0.0238 to 0.02688. The corrected values for Peak VO2 (% pred SHIP) are 107.7 (19.0) for all subjects and 111.4 (17.3) for women. Table 2 and Figure 2 have been corrected as a result of these changes and the corresponding text sections and sentences in abstract. This does not affect the previous conclusions regarding underestimation of peak oxygen uptake in women, found for all used reference materials. The reference equation that underestimated peak oxygen uptake in women to the largest extent should have been from Hansen–Wasserman and not from SHIP. We apologize for these errors.
