Under the section ‘Enzyme characterization’, the sentence ‘Guaiacol, catechol and 2,6-DMP were poor substrates for the enzyme (< 5% compared with ABTS) and no activity was detected with tyrosine, FA, l-3,4-dimethoxyphenol and dihydroxyphenylalanine (l-DOPA).’ should read: ‘Guaiacol, catechol and 2,3-DMP were poor substrates for the enzyme (< 5% compared with ABTS) and no activity was detected with tyrosine, FA, 3,4-dimethoxyphenol and l-3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine (l-DOPA)’.
