Abstract

Adaptive Behavior 2014: 22: 89-95 Are altered states of consciousness detrimental, neutral or helpful for the origins of symbolic cognition? A response to Hodgson and Lewis-Williams. Tom Froese, Alexander Woodward, and Takashi Ikegami. The authors of this paper regret that there was an error in the first sentence of the caption of Figure 1, which resulted in a misattribution of the painting. The corrected sentence is published here: ‘Painting done by female chimpanzee Kenya of the Center for Great Apes in Florida.’ Tom Froese apologizes for this error and the inconvenience caused to readers and especially to Patti Ragan and the Center for Great Apes in Florida.
