Abstract
Two typographical errors occurred in equations in our article which used a model to investigate phytoplankton growth and productivity. Equation 5 was specified as:= − (−0. • ) + (−3 • )but the first term of the numerator should have contained a positive rather than a negative. The correct version is:= 1+ (−0. • ) 1+ (−3 • )The growth term of the model, derived from coefficients in Figure 2, was incorrectly expressed as:µ = [(1.57 + • −16. • (0.0125 + • −47. ] • [1 − −5 • ( ) ]but should have been written as:µ = (−16.80) + 1.57 • (47.03) + 0.0125 • [1 − −5 • ( ) ]The authors apologize for these errors and any inconvenience caused, and would like to thank the colleague who brought them to our attention. These were typographical only and do not change the scientific results or conclusions of the article in any way.
