We sincerely apologize for these mistakes and are very grateful to the Editors and staff at UC Press for bringing these to our attention and for providing us with an opportunity to supplement the article in question with a corrigendum. We first outline the nature of the errors and then how we have addressed them. The revised paragraphs (with changes noted in bold italics) are reported below.
