Abstract
In previous papers a new approach for the analysis of correlations between electron transition energies (0-0 transitions, fluorescence and absorption maxima) and the 5-Hammett constants was developed. Now this approach is applied to NO 2 or NH 2 - substituted in the phthaloyl ring 3-phenylmethylene-1(3H)-isobenzofuranones ( benzylidenephthalides ) - (X,Y)BPH's.
