Abstract

Correlations between the Nelson-Denny Reading Test, Form E and ACT composite scores are similar to those reported in the manual which supports the test author's suggestion that the Nelson-Denny can be used to predict academic success. A low correlation was found between self-reported GPA and scores on the reading test, Form E and between Nelson-Denny scores, Form E and attitudes toward reading but none with students' self-concepts.
