Abstract

ABSTRACTThirty two high oleic sunflower lines and twenty hybrids were studied in the course of two years. It was found that the high oil content was in a negative correlation with the palmitic acid content in the lines-mentainers, and with the stearic acid content in the restorer lines. For the hybrids, proved correlations between the oil content and fatty acids were absent. In all high oleic materials there were found negative correlations between the oleic acid content and another fatty acids.
