Abstract

Dispersion of air pollutants in the rural environment leads to deposition of elements onto plant material, especially pasture grass where trace elements, toxic as well as essential, are ingested by cows. This reconcentration of pollutants originally dispersed in the air is discernible when determining the elemental content of cows' hair as a function of deposition on pastures.
