Abstract

In this study, three kinds of wood-based panels were investigated to analyse the components and concentrations of total volatile organic compound (TVOC) in 15L environmental chamber. The test data were compared with that in lm 3 environmental chamber. The result showed that the correlation between two chambers was very good. Compared with the large chamber, TVOC concentration level using the small environment chamber was slightly higher. The TVOC emission rates of three wood-based panels from high to low were: high density fiber board, medium density fiber board, and PVC veneer medium fiber board. Arene and alkane components were the main components emission from wood-based panels. Toluene, ethylbenzene, m, p-xylene and styrene were the main volatile organic compound (VOC) emission from three panels.
