Abstract

We present evidence for a correlation between features observed in simultaneous infrared (8 to 14 μm) and ultraviolet (0.36 μm) images obtained during Venus' 1975 and 1977 apparitions. The sense of the observed correlation is such that bright uv markings correspond to bright (warm) ir features, and similarly, dark uv markings correspond to dark (cool) ir features.
