Correlation of proton chemical shifts with substituent constant: A study in anionic σ complexes based on the bicyclo [3,3,1] nonane skeleton

Abstract

The PMR spectra of a number of bicyclo [3,3,1] nonane derivatives from 1,3,5-trinitrobenzene, acetoacetanilide and triethylamine were measured in DMSO-d6. The chemical shifts of the NH and enolic OH protons exhibit a linear correlation with Hammett's σ and σn values, respectively.
