Abstract

Human embryonic stem cells (hESCs) have capacities to self-renew and differentiate into three germ layers, therefore, genes involved in the fate of stem cells are endogenously regulated to maintain the balance between pluripotency and initiation of differentiation. In this study, we investigated the stage-specific expression of pluripotency- and differentiation-related genes during differentiation into cardiomyocytes from hESCs.
