Abstract

In the article the basic approaches to the solitude concept definition are considered, on the statistical analysis basis the peculiarities of the loneliness experience of people on the 1st and 2nd stages of the middle maturity period are determined. Established that an increased level of subjective loneliness experience of persons on the first stage of middle maturity correlates with authoritarianism, and of persons on the second stage of middle maturity with subordination, in addition to other types that occur in both age categories: aggressiveness, selfishness, suspiciousness, dependency. The research has shown that for middle-aged people, according to the results of correlation analysis, the feeling of loneliness and the influence of it’s experience on interpersonal relations, their types and characteristics are inherent. The comparative analysis and statistically proved differences of people in the age from 40 to 50 and those who aged 50 to 60 by the following parameters: «dependence on communication», «positive loneliness», «aggressiveness», authoritarian attitude towards others.
