Abstract

Correlation of college grades with high school grades shows that a good grounding in mathematics is essential for success in college physics and that the Ohio State University Psychological Test and the complete high school grades provide good college guidance and planning. Beyond 5 basic courses in high school science, achievement, ability, and interest seem more important than more courses. It is hoped that attempts to interest more students in mathematics and physics will not attract students who lack the proper attitude.
