Abstract

Data for 30 male and 30 female undergraduates suggest field-independence/dependence seems to have little effect on adults' use of relaxation techniques. While scores on trait anxiety were not affected, groups given biofeedback and progressive relaxation scored significantly lower in state anxiety by the third session.
