Abstract

High risk HPV (hrHPV) testing is commonly used as co-testing in cervical cancer screening or as a reflex test in cases with equivocal cytology. Recently the FDA approved the Cobas HPV test as a screening option in women above 25 years. Clinical data regarding the use of Cobas HPV testing in women with negative Pap tests is limited. Utilizing a large series of cases, this study analyzed the correlation of hrHPV tests and histologic biopsies in women with negative Pap tests. INTRODUCTION RESULTS MATERIALS AND METHODS
