Abstract

Using an isospin- and momentum-dependent hadronic transport model, weinvestigate effects of the symmetry energy on several collective flowsin heavy-ion collisions induced by radioactive beams at intermediateenergies. It is found that the neutron-proton differential directed flowand the neutron-proton differential elliptic flow are stronglycorrelated with the symmetry energy, while the position averaged radialflow is weakly correlated with the symmetry energy.
