Abstract

This paper presents a method for the control of the flotation process. The physico-chemical parameters are directly measured in the pulp, using the filtering system-PIRANA. Metallurgical results, on the other hand, are obtained by conventional methods. A multilinear model can be used to correlate the physico-chemical parameters pH, Eh, temperature and residual collector concentration. Using these correlations, it has been possible to predict in advance the variations of these parameters. For the purpose of flotation control, this model is to be used with the continous metallurgical results of the process.
