Abstract

Rationale: Hypophosphatemia (hP) is associated with prolonged ventilation and may be correlated with increased mortality. Acute kidney injury requiring renal replacement therapy (RRT) is associated with a 50% morality rate and prolonged length of ventilation (LOV). We studied the relationship between nutrition, blood phosphate levels (P), and the LOV in ICU patients on RRT.
