Abstract

We present the influence of the sintering temperature on the magnetic properties of Sr 2FeMoO 6 double perovskite, on the basis of magnetization and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) measurements. Interestingly, the saturation magnetization originating mainly from the Fe moments is correlated with the amount of Mo magnetic moments observed by NMR measurements. We show that there is an optimum temperature of 1000°C for which the reaction leading to the double perovskite becomes more advanced and/or the number of antisite defects is minimum.
