Abstract
Young adults are have greater risk of developing weight gain and vulnerable to get increase glucose levels in the blood due to unhealthy dietary and lifestyle practices. The descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted to nd the correlation between Body Mass Index (BMI) and Fasting Blood Glucose (FBG) among undergraduate students in a selected nursing college, Mangaluru. Total 84 students both male and female having age from 18 to 22 years were selected by simple random sampling technique. Body weight, height and 12 hours fasting blood glucose were measured. A study results showed that there was no signicant Correlation between BMI and FBG ®= 0.138, p= 0.212) among undergraduate nursing students.
